Calibra Pro Terms of Service
Version 17.09.2026
1. Who we are
Calibra Pro ("Calibra", "the app") is provided by Synaptik GmbH, Frankfurt am Main, Germany ("we", "us"), registered with the Amtsgericht Frankfurt am Main under HRB 142389. Our full company details, including our address and managing director, are in our imprint. Contact: calibra@synaptik.life.
2. These terms
These terms form the contract between you and us for your use of Calibra. By creating an account, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. It is not part of these terms, but it describes obligations that bind us under data protection law.
Your purchase of a Calibra Pro subscription through the Apple App Store is also subject to Apple's applicable terms. Where Apple's terms govern the purchase, billing, cancellation or refund of that subscription, those matters are handled by Apple as described in section 6.
3. What Calibra is
Calibra gives you personal guidance on four separate signals: Readiness, Movement, Nutrition and Context. It works from the data you choose to connect, such as your wearable, Apple Health and your calendar. The guidance is about everyday performance and wellbeing, and you decide what to do with it.
4. What Calibra is not
Calibra is designed and offered for general wellbeing and everyday performance. It is not intended to diagnose, prevent, monitor, predict, prognose, treat or alleviate disease or injury, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, therapist, coach or other qualified professional.
Calibra's guidance is advisory. It produces no binding consequence, and following or ignoring it carries no penalty. Later guidance may adapt to what you actually did.
- Do not use Calibra to make medical decisions.
- If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or take medication, talk to a clinician before changing how you train, eat or sleep.
- In an emergency, call 112 or your local emergency number.
5. Who can use Calibra
You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to:
- give accurate information when you sign up,
- keep your sign-in details secure,
- use only your own account, and not share it.
6. Subscription and payment
- Purchase through Apple. Calibra Pro subscriptions offered in the iOS app are purchased through the Apple App Store. For customers for whom Apple acts as the merchant of record, Apple handles the subscription transaction and payment under its applicable terms. We remain the provider of Calibra and of the rights granted to use the app, subject to these terms and any applicable Apple licence terms.
- Price, period and offers. The price, subscription period and any free trial, introductory offer or offer code are those shown to you in the App Store before you subscribe.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the period shown in the App Store until you cancel it. Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple Account according to Apple's applicable terms.
- How to cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, subject to any statutory rights and Apple's applicable terms.
- Billing and refunds. Requests concerning App Store billing, subscription payments or refunds are handled through Apple, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
- Price changes. Apple will notify you of subscription price increases in accordance with its applicable rules and the law. Where your express consent is required, the increased price will not apply without that consent.
- Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. If you delete your Calibra account, you must separately cancel any active Apple subscription if you do not want it to renew.
7. Your right of withdrawal
If you purchase your Calibra Pro subscription through the Apple App Store and Apple is the merchant of record for that transaction, any statutory right to withdraw from that purchase is exercised with Apple under Apple's applicable terms.
This section does not limit any separate mandatory statutory rights you may have against us in relation to Calibra.
8. Your data and connected services
- Connecting a wearable, Apple Health or a calendar is your choice, and you can disconnect supported connections at any time. Disconnecting stops us receiving further data. It does not remove the permission you gave inside the provider's own app or account, which you need to remove there.
- Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms. We do not control their availability or the accuracy, completeness or timing of data they provide to Calibra.
- You keep any rights you have in data or content you provide to Calibra. Our collection and use of personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
- Withdrawing consent ends the service. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Because Calibra cannot produce its guidance without the health data it is computed from, withdrawing consent deletes that data and stops the service. Your account and your billing record remain, and you can give consent again. This is a consequence of how the product works, not a penalty. Withdrawing consent does not cancel your Apple subscription. If you do not want it to renew while the service is stopped, cancel it separately with Apple as described in section 6.
- Get a copy of your data before you withdraw or delete. You can request access to and a copy of your data, and you can delete your account in the app. Both withdrawal and deletion are immediate, and we will not restore your data afterwards, so take any copy you want first. This is described in the Privacy Policy and subject to applicable law.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Calibra for anything unlawful,
- try to access other people's accounts or data,
- interfere with, reverse engineer or overload the service, except where the law permits,
- resell Calibra or its outputs, or use them to provide services to others,
- upload content that infringes someone else's rights.
10. Our rights in Calibra
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the app for the length of your subscription. Everything else in Calibra, including its software, content and design, remains ours or our licensors'. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the app to the extent applicable.
11. Availability, updates and changes to Calibra
- Availability. We aim to keep Calibra available, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, security, updates, technical problems or reasons outside our reasonable control.
- Updates needed to keep Calibra working properly. We may provide updates that are necessary to maintain security, compatibility and conformity with the contract. You may need to install app or operating-system updates to continue using some features.
- Other changes. We may change Calibra beyond what is necessary to maintain conformity only where there is a valid reason for the change. Valid reasons include adapting Calibra to changes in law or regulatory requirements; improving security or preventing misuse; maintaining compatibility with operating systems, devices or connected services; replacing or adapting third-party integrations that change or become unavailable; and improving, developing or adding functions without changing the essential character of the service.
- No additional charge for such changes. A change under the previous paragraph will not by itself result in an additional charge to you during your current subscription period.
- Notice. We will inform you clearly about relevant changes. If a change negatively affects your access to or use of Calibra in more than a minor way, we will inform you within a reasonable time before the change by email or another durable medium, including what is changing, when it will take effect and the rights available to you.
- Right to end the contract after an adverse change. Where required by applicable law, you may end the affected contract free of charge within 30 days after receiving that information or, if the change happens later, within 30 days after the change. This right does not apply where the negative effect is only minor or where we allow you to continue using the unchanged version without additional cost, to the extent permitted by law.
- Mandatory rights remain unaffected. Your statutory rights relating to digital products, including rights where Calibra is defective or not supplied as required, remain unaffected.
12. Liability
- We are liable without limitation for loss or damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and to the extent we have expressly given a guarantee.
- In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose fulfilment you may normally rely. In those cases, our liability is limited to loss or damage that was typical and reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into.
- Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
- The limitations above also apply to our legal representatives, employees and other persons we use to perform the contract.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights relating to digital products and mandatory rights under applicable data protection law.
13. Ending the contract
- You can delete your Calibra account at any time in Settings. Deletion is immediate and we will not restore your data afterwards, so take a copy first if you want one (section 8). Deleting the account ends your ability to use that account but does not cancel your Apple subscription. If you do not want the subscription to renew, cancel it separately with Apple as described in section 6.
- We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect Calibra, other users or data, to prevent misuse, or to comply with law. Where reasonably possible, we will tell you the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue.
- We may terminate your Calibra account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms if continuation of the contract cannot reasonably be expected. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you an opportunity to remedy the breach.
- Any mandatory statutory rights you have to end the contract, including rights relating to defects or changes to a digital product, remain unaffected.
14. Changes to these terms
Changes to Calibra itself are governed by section 11. Changes to these terms are treated separately.
We may update these terms where this is reasonably necessary because:
- applicable law, regulatory requirements or a binding decision by a court or authority changes;
- a change to Calibra, our technical processes or the way the service is provided makes a provision inaccurate or incomplete; or
- we need to correct an unforeseen contractual gap or clarify wording, provided the change does not unreasonably disadvantage you or materially alter the agreed balance of rights and obligations.
We will tell you about material changes before they take effect in a clear and understandable form. Where a change materially affects your existing contractual rights or obligations to your disadvantage and cannot validly take effect without your agreement, we will ask for your express consent. We will not treat silence as consent unless applicable law expressly permits this and the legal requirements for doing so are met.
Changes that do not validly apply to an existing contract may apply to future contracts or subscription periods entered into after the new terms take effect, subject to applicable law and any consent that may be required.
15. Law and courts
- German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
- If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions that apply in your country of habitual residence.
- Frankfurt am Main is the place of jurisdiction only where such an agreement is legally permitted, including where you are a merchant or have no general place of jurisdiction in Germany.
16. Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither willing nor, to our knowledge, legally obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
